1. Who We Are
Grayne is an AI wardrobe assistant published by Chris Shepard. For privacy requests, contact us at hello@grayne.app.
2. What We Collect

- Style preferences: Preferences captured during onboarding or in settings, including style archetype, color preferences, occasion preferences, and risk tolerance.
Information Collected Automatically
- Approximate location, if you grant permission: Used only to fetch local weather for outfit recommendations. We do not store your location on our servers.
- Subscription and purchase status: Apple StoreKit provides subscription status so Grayne can unlock Pro features.

- IDFA or advertising identifiers.
- Cross-app tracking data.

3. Where Data Is Stored

- Apple StoreKit: Subscription and purchase records are handled by Apple.
- No Grayne wardrobe database: We do not run a database that stores user wardrobe content.
4. Third-Party AI Processing
Important Apple App Store disclosure: Grayne uses third-party AI providers to analyze clothing photos, item descriptions, and wardrobe context for categorization and outfit suggestions.
- Google LLC, Gemini API: Receives clothing photos, item descriptions, and relevant wardrobe context for clothing analysis and outfit suggestions.
- OpenAI, Inc.: Used as a fallback provider for the same purpose.
- Grayne backend proxy: Requests are routed through Grayne's backend proxy so AI provider API keys are not stored in the app.
- No model training: We configure our AI provider API usage so your requests are not used to train provider AI models. Google Gemini API and OpenAI API data handling is governed by their respective terms and data policies.
- Provider retention: AI providers may retain request data according to their own policies. See Google Generative AI Terms, Google Privacy Policy, and OpenAI API Data Usage Policy.
- Control: You can disable AI photo analysis in Settings > Privacy > Photo Analysis. Some features may be limited when AI processing is disabled.
We do not include your name, email, advertising identifiers, or precise location in AI requests.
