Terms of Use

Grayne AI Wardrobe Assistant · Effective Date: May 2, 2026

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Grayne mobile application ("Grayne" or the "App"), published by Chris Shepard ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using Grayne, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Grayne. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms.

2. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Grayne for your own personal use, subject to these Terms and Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement. Apple's standard EULA is available at https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/.

3. Subscriptions and Payments

Grayne offers optional paid subscription features through Grayne Pro.

  • Grayne Pro Monthly: $5.99 per month.
  • Grayne Pro Annual: $39.99 per year.
  • Free trial: New subscribers receive a 7-day free trial, where available.
  • Auto-renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Payment: Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
  • Cancellation: You can cancel anytime in iOS Settings > [Apple ID] > Subscriptions.
  • Unused periods: There is no refund for any unused portion of a current subscription period.
  • Trial conversion: A free trial converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled before the trial ends.
  • Regional pricing: Prices may vary by region. The final price is shown at checkout before purchase.

Refund requests are handled by Apple according to Apple's App Store policies.

4. What Grayne Pro Includes

  • Daily picks every day.
  • Pro re-pick on demand.
  • Weather-aware outfits.
  • Full outfit history.
  • Unlimited Style Me generations.

We may modify, add, or remove features over time.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, modify, redistribute, sublicense, or commercially resell the App.
  • Use Grayne to harass, harm, exploit, or violate the rights of others.
  • Upload illegal, harmful, infringing, or abusive content.
  • Attempt to access systems, data, or services not intended for you.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the App, its backend proxy, or related services.
  • Use automated tools, scraping, or bots to access the App or related services without permission.

6. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

Outfit suggestions are generated by AI and provided for informational purposes only. Grayne is not responsible for styling outcomes, social reception, workplace appropriateness, dress code compliance, weather accuracy, or any decisions you make based on suggestions in the App. AI may misidentify clothing items, colors, categories, styles, or occasions. Use your own judgment.

7. Your Content and Intellectual Property

Your Content

You retain ownership of your clothing photos, wardrobe data, preferences, and other content you add to Grayne. By using the App, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process your content only as needed to provide Grayne's features, including AI analysis, outfit recommendations, weather-aware suggestions, local storage, iCloud sync, and support for app functionality.

Our Property

Grayne, including its design, software, features, text, graphics, logos, and branding, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you ownership of Grayne or its content.

8. Service Changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of Grayne at any time. We may also update these Terms. If changes are material, we will provide notice by posting the updated Terms here, updating the effective date, or providing notice in the App.

9. Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, AVAILABILITY, OR RELIABILITY.

We do not guarantee that Grayne will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, accurate, compatible with every device or iOS version, or that AI suggestions, weather data, wardrobe analysis, or subscription features will meet your expectations.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, SUBSCRIPTION ISSUES, DEVICE ISSUES, OR DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE GRAYNE.

Our total liability for any claim related to Grayne will not exceed the amount you paid for Grayne in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or fifty dollars ($50), whichever is greater.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless us, our affiliates, service providers, and partners from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising from your use of Grayne, your content, or your violation of these Terms. We will likewise be responsible for claims caused by our own violation of applicable law.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to Grayne if you violate these Terms or use the App in a way that may harm Grayne, other users, or third-party services. You may stop using Grayne and delete the App at any time. Subscription cancellation must be completed through Apple in iOS Settings > [Apple ID] > Subscriptions.

13. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or Grayne will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Sacramento County, California, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

14. Apple-Specific Terms

Grayne is licensed under Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, available at https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/. To the extent these Terms apply separately:

  • Apple is not a party to these Terms and is not responsible for Grayne or its content.
  • Apple has no warranty obligation for Grayne.
  • Apple is not responsible for product claims, support, maintenance, intellectual property claims, or legal compliance claims related to Grayne.
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect.

16. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any Apple terms that apply, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding Grayne.
